Bani Walid still Resisting

The citizens of Bani Walid are still resisting the NTC. Bani Walid is home to the local Warfalla tribe. This resistance started on January 23, when Gaddafi loyalists and members of the Warfalla tribe kicked the NTC out of Bani Walid. These fighters pushed out the NTC as a response to the abuse caused by NTC fighters. NTC fighters would frequently break into houses, rob people, and physically abuse civilians. Most people in Bani Walid, and most members of the Warfalla tribe are supporters of Gaddafi.  After the fighters re-gained control of the city from the NTC they raised Gaddafi's green flag. After the take over the Warfalla tribe organized a council to govern the city. Since the take over of Bani Walid milita members of the NTC from other cities have come to the border waiting to attack the people of Bani Walid. The patriotic and socialist struggle of pro-Gaddafi and anti-imperialist Libyans lives on.
